The system consists of a uniform sheet of high intensity laminar air, known as laminar flow. Basically it is a pressurized air chamber that contains a series of continuous holes or slots through which the presumed air exits with a laminar flow pattern. The velocity of the exhaust air impacts at great speed on the surface of any object to which it is directed.
The air sheet system is a widely used tool when blowing liquid residues or waste products as they are transported. It is normally used in manufacturing, as a first step in the recycling process, to separate lighter particles, dry in parts manufacturing, cleaning, transport or as part of component cleaning.
