The primary function of a blower of this type is to supply one or more tanks with air to deliver oxygen to bacteria responsible for degrading organic matter. Injecting this air requires the blower to overcome resistance or back pressure caused by water level and diffuser/pipe loss.

As the volume of effluent to be treated varies, it is essential to inject only the required amount of oxygen to optimize the bacteria’s oxygen demand. This necessitates the ability to adjust the flow while maintaining a constant pressure.
